CustodyCase.ai ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our desktop application ("Software").
CustodyCase.ai does not collect, transmit, store, or have access to your personal data, documents, or case information. The Software is designed to operate entirely on your local computer. All document processing, AI analysis, and data storage happens on your machine and never leaves it.

Your passphrase is never stored in plaintext. It is used to derive an encryption key via scrypt, which is held in application memory only during your session and discarded when the application is locked or closed.
The Software makes the following network connections:
The Software blocks all other network requests via Content Security Policy. No data is sent to our servers, third-party analytics, or any other external service.
Ollama: The Software requires Ollama for AI processing. Ollama runs locally on your machine. We recommend reviewing Ollama's privacy practices at ollama.com.
Lemon Squeezy (payment processing): If you purchase a license, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive only your license key status — we do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
Website: Our marketing website (custodycaseai.com) may use standard web analytics. This is separate from the desktop application, which has no analytics or tracking whatsoever.

The Software is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The Software is designed for adult parents or legal guardians managing custody documentation.
Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, a breach of our systems would not expose your documents or case information. Your data's security depends on the security of your local computer and the strength of your passphrase.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act: We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information through the Software. There is no personal information to disclose, delete, or opt out of, because we don't have it.
CustodyCase.ai does not process personal data as defined by the GDPR. All data processing occurs locally on your device. We are not a data controller or processor with respect to your case data. No personal data is transferred internationally.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
